What makes a pergola really stand out are the end cap styles. When building a new pergola in San Antonio and Austin, some Homeowners prefer a more decorative appearance while others might select a more contemporary style. Either way, the choice is yours and you do have several options.
End Cap Style Choices
There are four end cap styles available with any Alumawood pergola installations. They are scallop, corbel, miter & beveled.
By far the most popular choice is scallop. A scallop end cut with its gentle curves really makes a pergola stand out with just the right amount of decorative detail. Scallop end cuts are also available with our aluminum patio covers and when installed give the completed project a Sante Fe appearance.
The second most popular selection is corbel. Corbel is decorative but also combines right angles to make this style a little more pronounced. For a colonial style home the corbel end cut is a really good choice.
The Best Choice is Yours
When building a pergola onto a contemporary styled home miter & bevel end cuts are the best choice. Both styles are understated which is the goal of contemporary architecture.
